Great idea but bad design.

The blades seem uh, but they're not like the bonus I got with the Dewalt 20V cordless accessory. That's why I chose the Dewalt brand. Most likely this is the lowest quality made in China. The body is made of brittle plastic and the locking mechanisms hardly stay locked because they are too loose to withstand any pressure on the bolt. I'll try putting some dry cement in there to see if I can rough it up and keep the lock from just popping open.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Terrible quality - Blades

Very very disappointed in this set of blades. I'm a huge DeWalt fan and own many of their instruments. I received this set and at first it looked good and the case was good. Then the first blade I used broke immediately and cut my finger! This is cutting small EMT tubes with a metal blade. Then I cut out the aluminum channel and lost two more blades almost immediately. All teeth disappeared after one cut. Worst blades I've ever had. No more DeWalt blades for me! I will ask for a refund!

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Good price and sheath

I bought these to have spare blades on hand and because of the plastic case that comes with it. Dewalt does a good job with protective cases and this one is no exception. The blades are well organized and fit in the inside pocket of the carry case where I keep my jigsaw. I don't use a jigsaw very often so can't speak for the durability of the blades, but I've used them a few times so far. I've found them to be very sharp and make quick, clean cuts in a variety of woods.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Some bugs

Great update on power and hand tools

I went from a U shank that no one else seems to be making to this T shank and wow what a difference. No more wrestling with a jigsaw and losing an odd-sized torx wrench that doesn't seem to exist outside of the world of hacksaws. Large screens work very well, but thinner screens designed for tight corners aren't worth a damn. They are bent from 1/2 inch thick oak planks. The best blades were the down blades because if you cut holes in the laminate for vents, the up blades will ruin the…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • No instructions

They cut something like butter.

This is a great set of blades I bought for a DeWalt jigsaw that said there was a starter blade in the box but there wasn't. There are several types that are great for all types of cuts. They are very easy to replace and seem to last a long time. The only issue I can think of is that the little case that comes with it has 2 sides and you just slide them in - seems like some slots would be nice if kept organized and sturdy when opened but otherwise a good product. Hope that helps.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Damaged

Nice case with some finishing

I bought this blade and case set based on other positive reviews as I needed a good case. The processing of the case seems to be good. The lids have a steel hinge pin instead of a plastic one, a pleasant surprise. The lids close with latches that slide TOO easily, IMHO. For example, there's no positive click or pop at the closed end of the stroke, and it seems like they could easily hit or collide in the open position. I ended up taking a soldering iron and used it to "sink down" the plastic on

Pros
  • Solid finish
Cons
  • Empty
