🔧 DEWALT Impact Ready FlexTorq Screwdriver Bit Set, 40-Piece (DWA2T40IR) Review

I work in aircraft maintenance, which means my day-to-day life involves a drill. At home I expect a lot from my instruments. These bits pass the test. As long as you apply slow high pressure to steel and fast high pressure to aluminum, life expectancy is excellent! I bought this set in 2009 and now finally replaced with the same set in 2016. That speaks for itself. Note: If you plan to make a lot of hard steel (stainless steel) or titanium, I would use cobalt bits (not branded material).

They work, they help make holes, blah blah blah. Here's what you really need to know: *** Small bits don't break! non-stop! *** I have been using the DW1163 and DW1354 sets for three years now and they are used far more than any attachments I have used in the past (new big house, new big projects). Overall a very good bit/accessory set for impact wrenches. 3 stars in the rating because the product photo is wrong. This kit does NOT come with the 3/8" wrench shown in the photo. Instead, it comes with a 3/8" socket adapter. I specifically needed this part. So I kept the set and bought the wrench separately at a hardware store for about $3.50. Opening the plastic packaging was a typical problem to be expected, but loading and unloading tools from the storage case was a real disappointment. They are difficult to remove and cannot be put back into their respective holders. I'll probably ditch the storage container and toss the contents into a small container and scour it for the right tool when needed. That's exactly what I wanted to avoid. I can't believe I have to say that about a Dewalt product. I'm so used to them being as good as can be, but I've found major usability issues with this set. The case is nice and solid with a regular slide lock. The problems start out as very minor but gradually get worse. The case has a lot of sharp edges, and if your fingers are sensitive after a long time of work, it will not be very comfortable to use the case.
