Excellent quality and grip

I have expensive German, Swiss and Japanese knives. This knife is now my assistant in everything! razor sharp and holds the edge very well. Great quality and great grip. My favorite knife.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Only available in white

Great range of cutlery and knife accessories

Arrived quickly. Sharp enough out of the box, great grip, I made the mistake of ordering the 10" version and the BLADE is the 10" version. Big knife. It was late at night and I wasn't thinking, DUH! Still a great knife.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Not sure

Major quality control issues

Noticeable chip on blade on arrival. The blade, as seen in the photo, was unevenly sharpened. Disappointed in an American product! For this money you get 2 Chinese knives with better blades and cosmetics.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Amazing value for money.

Sharp, very sharp and easy to hold cutting edge. The knife is comfortable to use. I believe that the handle does not slip. So far there has been no discoloration on the blade, which is common with carbon steel knives. I have probably over 20 kitchen knives and I consider this knife my chef's knife. Dexter-Russell V-LO 10" carbon steel chef's knife

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Requires socket

Fantastic and razor sharp. I would buy this again!

This is my first Dexter Russell knife and I am glad I bought it. I knew it when I bought it and while it looks big it doesn't feel that big when in use. It's well balanced and lightweight, making it ideal for most jobs in the kitchen.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • No performance

Good knife for the price

A chef's perspective When I first received this knife I was very skeptical and disappointed at the terrible condition in which it was delivered. The blade had chips and nicks along the entire edge. A very pitiful sight. The cutting edge was fixed with a few strokes on the steel. And now this is my knife that I use 12 hours a day. The cutting edge is very easy to care for. Keep the steel handy and use it often. The handle turns orange after I cut carrots, no problem at all for me. I wish there…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Functionality

Great 10 " performer!

I have been using this knife in a professional kitchen for a long time. Feedback on my experience and the clean work of this knife. I have used German and Japanese knives and they are excellent in their own way, but in a busy professional kitchen with a lot of staff, using a $$$ knife isn't the best idea - for the size 10". It's safe to say that the knife gets smaller in the eyes of the user. In a professional kitchen are 10" is a must, saves time and space isn't an issue at all. Wherever I…
