Specialized Blade - Blades

Narrow, clean cut. The blade cuts 5/16" Hardie siding 5 times faster and easier than the blade I had left over from PVC decking. The thin kerf also produces significantly less dust. I cut about 90 12ft hardie boards for 12x16. Fiber cement is a lot more abrasive than wood so I'm sure I can just leave this blade in my saw for future woodwork.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Only available in white

Clean and smooth. in blades

This 12 inch Diablo Hardie saw blade is used on my miter saw. It works very well as I expected since I've been using it on my circular saw for a long time. Cuts fast, straight, precise, clean and smooth. Definitely worth the money which was good value anyway. It also saves time. I am happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend to anyone considering a purchase.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Baby why didn't they make these blades when I destroyed my last house?!

fiber cement putty from Diablo, in a word cool. I put HardieTrim and Hardieplank all over the outside of my last house about 15 years ago and the blades I used to cut the Hardie didn't cut as cleanly as the Diablos and generated LOTS more dust when cutting. The hardie's raw edges make it look like the hardie is actually a piece of solid wood due to the Diablo blades!

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Really good tool for saw blades, parts and accessories

Does what it is supposed to. I've made dozens of bevel cuts with it and it's still sharp and all of its teeth are carbide. It's hard to find a good blade for Hardie products and this seems to be a good one. It cuts fiber cement sheets like butter. I think it's definitely worth the money. Unlike other blades I've tried for cutting Hardie products such as the B. Irwin's fiber cement board blade, where the carbide teeth come off immediately and the blade is useless, it seems to last a long time.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Some problems

super for Hardie Board

super for Hardie Board. I also have scissors and they're great for removing dust and all, but also don't cut very well when things get really tight. However, if you're caulking all the seams, scissors will be fine. The only problem with using a saw (aside from the dust of course, which is VERY important when you're outside and downwind, is that the dust messes up the sliding miter saw a bit. Every time I use it, I have that really saw carefully, I mean REALLY carefully.

Pros
  • so far satisfied
Cons
  • write later

Worth every penny Good tool for power tools and hand tools

Bought for installing about 300 sqft. Feet of hardie cedar siding. The blade cuts surprisingly well. Yes, there is a lot of dust, but remember to adjust the miter saw so that the wind blows the dust away from you. I've looked at various ways to cut boards, including buying/using cement shears that don't create dust, but I just don't see how you can use anything other than a miter saw with this blade as you really do get a perfect 90 -Angle want intersects degrees. I've also trimmed quite a bit…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I will add later

Didn't last as long as Diablo

2.5 stars. Could have been a 5 star blade if it lasted. I'm usually a big fan of Frueds blades. I have almost every type of blade they make. I paid a decent sum for this knife and initially it was great. Cuts like butter. Glade I waited before writing my review. My problem relates to the durability of the blade. The tooth broke before we finished the first pallet of Hardie siding. Another tooth is broken and chipped. The blade was only used to cut 3/16 Hardie siding, nothing else. The picture…

Pros
  • That's awesome
Cons
  • Some bugs
