Gasket installs dry no sealant needed. This beading will provide a dry, leak-free seal in a wide range of temperatures, power, or driving conditions. Reusable gaskets keep items clean and leak free. The gasket is constructed of a high quality rubber-coated steel core to ensure proper sealing. It is not fit Dana 44HD, 44/226, 44A, or Nissan Titan.

Video instructions helped

After watching a few tutorial videos I realized that I don't need to buy this product at all. When installing, it would be easier to do without this seal. Found out the mechanics don't even use them. They use a sealant that, like the car manufacturers, is applied in the form of a paste. This gasket is fine, but without the other gasket it may leak. Might not leak, but I don't want to find out the hard way.

No worse than Lube Locker.

I've used this brand before, no leaks, no RTV touch required. Please note: This will NOT fit if you have a Dana 44 Heavy Duty. I made that mistake - I'm not really sure how you knew you had HD as I found out by accident I never bothered to figure out how to identify it. PN for HD: LLR-D044-HD. My application is 2004 Grand Cherokee, QuadraTrac II, NV247, VariLoc, 3.73. Book with confidence, just make sure you book the right vehicle!

A MUST when removing/replacing the differential cover! Simple, fast and reusable!

I've used them on every jeep I've owned! They don't miss a drop, and they're a lot easier than using RTV. PRO TIP: Be sure to scrape the entire old RTV off the diff (I start with a clean utility knife blade). I then filed the edges of the shares and cleaned them with brake cleaner to make sure they were oil/dirt free. Secure everything with star screws and tighten the lid evenly.
