Easy to use and seems to work great. I have no way of verifying how accurate the readings are, but they appear to be consistent and at least at a rough level. Sufficient for the needs of a hobby cook.

Fantastic thermometer. I used to have digital thermometers, but they were slow; This does what it says on the tin, delivering accurate temperatures in about two seconds. Great for grilling as I don't have to keep my hand over the grill waiting for the slower food to reach its true internal temperature.

I bought this unit to replace a more expensive unit that no longer works. You know the one I'm talking about. My favorite bespectacled celebrity chef/nerd uses it. Well, this thermometer does exactly what the old one did for half the price. I really like that it turns off when the dipstick is closed. No empty batteries. Large easy to read screen and accurate. Comes with a magnet to keep it close and folds easily into my jacket pocket.

Pleasant properties. The thermometer turns on when the probe is pulled out of the frame and off when closed and out of the way. Large, easy to read display - works well in the dark. The handle is a nice size and allows me to stretch the probe over a hot grill without burning my hand from the heat. Appears to be well built and built - solid. Readings are in 1/10 degree increments so it can even be used with an accurate room thermometer.

Really terrible product. In the first one I received, the ambient temperature was lowered by 20F before it was even used. I then checked the 32f water calibration and it was correct. Then I checked the temperature of the boiling water, again in place. I've used it on steaks that I've been cooking and the temperatures have been everywhere, it couldn't determine the temperature for a medium steak (150f) and the reading jumped from 170f to 190f.
