I haven't bought a cross stitch kit in years as I've been embroidering from patterns in books I've acquired over the years. God, I was pleasantly surprised at how good this dimension set is: the topics are sorted, the instructions are clear and concise, and the table is big and easy to read. The only thing I have to do to get started is mark the middle of my fabric! As an experienced embroiderer, this adorable birth announcement will be a breeze. I highly recommend this pattern for cross stitch

Charming and easy to make pattern. However, the thread provided is not enough. Despite the promises in the manual, DMC does not offer free replacements and I had to purchase additional floss for more than half the colors.

I was really looking forward to the launch as I am expecting it in 3 months. Read the instructions which were very clear. Well packaged compared to many others I've bought. The problem is only one needle is provided and I did 3 half stitches and my needle broke! Very frustrating as I can't continue until I replace it. Regular needles work just as well, except they are much sharper and end up stinging me when I use them. I would suggest using better needles or at least a pair as a backup.

I bought this to make for my cousin who is expecting her first child. I love this pattern and the instructions are very easy to follow. However, I had to buy an extra thread. I've never had a kit that had enough thread. I would recommend buying this but be aware that you will need more thread to complete the project. I also recommend using glue to secure the edges as you really need every inch of the fabric and can't afford to fray the edges.
