I used this to connect a laptop (HDMI) to a projector (S-Video). The results were awful. While the adapter was easy to set up and did convert the signal correctly (I got the picture on the screen), the quality was beyond bad. Text was unreadable and everything looked rough. (Yes, the projector was in focus. And yes, I tested with two different projectors--a Sharp DLP and a 3M.) I also tried using the yellow RCA video connection. The results were exactly the same.
