Built like a tank, it just works!

UPDATE: I've tried this with three different HP slimline docks and despite the manufacturer's warning that it may not work with docks, I've had no problems with G1 and G3 Elitebooks to slimline docks via any DisplayPort connector. No problems with falling parts despite connecting/disconnecting many times. I just bought a second one. I bought it to connect my wife's HP docking station to her 22" monitor. Not sure why HP offers DB15 (old technology) and DisplayPort (maybe "future") but no HDMI…

Build quality - Serial cables

Pros: Compact: This adapter differs from others in that it has no cable between the HDMI/DP parts. It's just a solid piece that I feel is more compact, more reliable and less of a hassle. Stuff: I tried many adapters since I use them on my bitcoin mining farm with 80+ GPUs, most of them were very cheap. , some came with the caps fallen off, others broke on first use, but this adapter is well constructed with quality material unlike the plastic adapter I had before. Works!: I tested the adapter…

Well made Twini device! DP--> HDMI

I just picked up a used HP travel laptop and found that it has a DP output. I needed an HDMI adapter and was lucky enough to find this finely crafted Twini. I connected it to my computer and then used a regular HDMI cable to connect it to my big screen TV. Truly a plug and play device - my desktop turned out to be much larger than life! I watched a few videos I made and the images were crisp and clear. Oh, and my Excel spreadsheet - I didn't need glasses to see the cells ;-)) I especially like…

Great adapter if you need one.

what I think. This is a great adapter for people who need it. I use it to connect additional computers to my 4K monitor (my 4K monitors only have 1 DP input). It has a solid construction, it appears to be an aluminum body (not plastic). I ran it at 4K@30Hz and it worked great with no image quality issues. My monitor supports 60Hz at 4K via HDMI 2.0, which I haven't been able to achieve with this adapter (so I'm assuming it doesn't support HDMI 2.0 if you need it). It gets a little warm after…

Pros
  • Design: The adapter is just a gray piece of machined aluminum, well proportioned and compact; With no messy cable around, convenient to use and always plug into your HDMI cable or computer; With its ultra-slim design, it won't block other ports on your computer and can easily be used side-by-side to set up multiple displays.
Cons
  • No question

Low profile, good price!

When I ordered monitors for work at home (like many others I work remotely) I forgot that the docking station that came with it has two displayport connectors at work . My monitors only support HDMI. The dock doesn't leave me much room between the two ports, so I need thin, low-profile adapters. The larger, bulkier ones I tried before buying Starware and reviewing here just didn't work. If I just needed an adapter to run a monitor, that would be fine. But like many other people, I use two…

Pros
  • Plug and Play: Work just one way from DisplayPort (DP, DP++, DisplayPort++) enabled desktops or laptops to displays with HDMI input such as a monitor, projector or HDTV; Not available for round trip; No software or drivers required (PASSIVE adapter)
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Works as described in Computer Accessories and Peripherals

Works exactly as described, this is the normal length for an adapter so it will stick out after HDMI is connected. to the display port. However, what didn't work is using this adapter instead of the HDMI angle adapter so it doesn't stick out more than it already does, doesn't work. I thought a 90 degree right angle HDMI adapter would reduce the length of cable protruding out the back of my computer case, but unfortunately both this adapter and the right angle adapter don't work. Overall, it…

Pros
  • Compact and easy to use: simple design, light weight and portability

  • Easily wrinkled
