Works great with my MacBook Pro!

Purchased to add a display to test a 2012 15" MacBook Pro that I received with a cracked display. It worked great and I say that because Apple is pretty good at third party adapters MacBook, and noting that the replacement cost was prohibitive to begin with, I decided to test a headless MacBook.While it worked great with an old Acer monitor, Acer picked it up right away and let me use the MBP keyboard and mouse use it to navigate.. I got this to replace the DVI port with a mini DisplayPort after the new GPU card had different connectors. On the new AMD R9 280X GPU, the Sapphire version featured 1 DVI, 2m-DP and 1 HDMI. If you're using this for a triple monitor, this adapter worked to set up 2 monitors, but as soon as I connected a 3rd to the card, the one with this adapter turned itself off. As it turns out, to set up 3 monitors from a single AMD R-series card, all adapters must be "active" dual-channel to tell the GPU…

Q&A - Apple Cinema Screens • 30 " and 20 " / A1083 and A1081 - Seems to work but not great.

Q: Does this work on the 30" Apple Cinema Display A1083? A: Somehow. This allows the display to work. You can choose any resolution greater than 1280 x 800. The maximum resolution for this monitor is 2560 x 1600 @ 60Hz, but says it supports (1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz), so 1280 x 800 equates to 1" desktop icons and Super Mario Bros. , 8-bit graphics style. Works great with a 20 year old 20 " cinema screen

Samsung's 22" HDMI monitor on my wife's Mac Mini has stopped working. Luckily, I still had my mid-'90s 20-inch Apple Cinema Screen tucked away in my workshop along with the same Mac G5. At that time it was the strongest combination :-). I just couldn't bring myself to get rid of them since I paid about $3,000 for those two a long time ago (ugh!) so they've been gathering dust for 15 years.
