I mean stainless steel kettle. But it was in an old box like it had been forgotten in storage. There was a sticker on the front that was clearly torn off. You have to use force to put the cover on, and it's just as difficult to remove. It boils water decently, but the handle heats up just as much as the bottom of the kettle. If you're looking for a small kettle that really whistles, this isn't it. That means it only whistles when it's almost completely full. Well I only ever make 1 cup of tea at a time and after a few tries there is no whistle. Unusable for me and I am sending it back. DO NOT RECEIVE if you want to whistle. If you fill it up every time you cook it, hopefully it will whistle. Also, this thing is so light, I don't think it costs more than $10. In fact, you can get a nicer one at Walmart for $10.
