Maybe we did not read the description well enough but the specific button battery we wanted to test will not fit into any of the slots and cannot be tested. I've been using this for about a year now, mostly to test AA's, AAA's and 9 volts. It's worked pretty well for its intended purpose. It's more accurate than the one I was using previously(a cheap palm sized device).The only complaint is that while the slots are labelled, they are not clearly labelled. The slots use very subtle and very small raised lettering. In daylight, you can probably see it ok, but in normal bedroom lighting you have to hold it at just the right angle and look close to see

The testing unit is very easy to use. Battery's fit with no problems. The meter bar while not exact by any means tells you instantly how much power your battery has left. For me personally I use wireless microphones that constantly need replacement battery's in them. You can cut down on all those batteries clogging up your utility drawer.
