Good price and packaging

Good price, fits my 2004 Honda Civic. The quality looks good but time will tell if it will hold up. There are no problems with the set.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

Didn't last long good for belts, hoses and pulleys

After a year and a half the timing belt had to be replaced. My daughter has a car and is six hours away. Now I have to spend $600 to fix it.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Useless features

I am satisfied with spare parts

I am satisfied with spare parts. I wasn't happy that they didn't send me a sticker under the hood to track the mileage until the next timing belt change.

Pros
  • So far satisfied with
Cons
  • reliability

Complete but cheap components

The belt I received was private label - not branded and the tensioner did not match the picture. more plastic, felt cheap. It works, but I'm sorry I didn't get better components

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Does not fit - belt

I got this for my 2002 Ex-Civic with a d17a2 engine and when bolted on it barely turned as it was hanging internally and after comparing to my old one stayed. [Image included] I realized that the shaft was longer and the fins were further apart which was causing this issue.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Belt tensioner fails at 9000 miles, bends almost every valve

Tensioner pulley failed just after 9000 miles (more or less) resulting in belt failure and bent valves. I've wanted to sell this car as a working, cheap mode of transport since I bought my new truck, but due to valvetrain damage from a faulty tensioner, I asked a scrapyard to pull it out, spend the extra money, buy quality control components, or risk it to get it. happen to your engine.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Failed after 2-3000 miles

Everything worked perfectly straight away, the water pump is still OK. After 7 months of regular operation, the car died. It was evident that the belt had lost all tension and was missing a few teeth. Upon disassembling, I found that the spring was tensioning right through the tensioner. The spring was then damaged. The product came with a 12 month warranty which the company honored and I got my money back (+1 star). Replacing a timing belt is a big job that requires many hours of work, towing…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Nothing here

Broken timing belt

I hate to write this but here we are. I installed the timing belt and water pump on my 2001 Honda Civic LX at about 198k. At 202km the car suddenly stops starting and when I try to start it again it sounds weird. I pried open the plastic cover to see if it really was the timing belt. Yes I need to call AAA to get home that day. Something's stuck, I think it's the water pump. other reviewers have had better luck. It might be worth ordering the belt and water pump separately so you know you're…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Some faults
