Perfectly replaces the old DNM-DV6

This damper is actually a DNM-DV22, its specifications can be found on the DNM website. According to their website, the DNM appears to be longer than the 160mm DV6, which is why I bought it. I installed this muffler on my late 90's Mongoose D60r to replace a burned out original DNM-DV6. I ordered a 160mm length to match my old shock. It fits perfectly without the need for the additional bushings provided, which already fit the new shock body perfectly. You should check the dimensions to ensure…

No expectations, great satisfaction!

Being new to long bike rides I really didn't expect this shock. I read some reviews and bought it out of curiosity. Can replacing my old shock really make a difference, especially one that costs $30? YES IT CAN! I ride where there are many gentle slopes. In fact, we name a section of the road Mount Moore, and while you'll see many drivers driving down that section, few dare to drive it down the slope. Since I need to shed a few pounds, way more than a few, and want to increase my endurance and…

Good for the price

This is a basic spring damper with only adjustable preload, but it could be a good choice for the application you need it for. I recently bought an Aostirmotor S18 e-bike (known by other names and manufacturers) with a very stiff rear suspension. The stock shock is rated at 1,500 pounds and is only 5 inches long. I wanted a softer ride, so I replaced that 6-inch shock with a 750-pound spring. The ride is smoother and there is a little more travel. For only $40, I'm happy with the improved ride.

Works great with the BikeE AT Recumbent

The BikeE AT Recumbent (and NX, FX, RX, E2) uses a Cane Creek air shock in the rear. Since these bikes are around 20 years old, the shock absorbers can be in poor condition. Cane Creek can be restored, but the kit is about $25 and the shock body may be worn enough to allow air to pass through. I found this DNM damper and thought it was worth a try for the price. They come in a variety of lengths, and the shorter length closest to the length of the Cane Creek shock was out of stock. So I order…
