We recently moved and took our electric fence monitors with us. This wire was easy to install and set up in our new home. We used a shovel and it took my husband and I about two hours to dig almost an acre. I wanted to rent a car but my husband is cheap and loves hard work.

Anyone who has installed an electric fence knows it's very hard work. So we only wanted to do this once and decided to buy a wire with a larger diameter than the one that came with it. So glad we did. We hired an EZ cable installer from a big store, used a piece of PVC to extend the bracket on the trencher since it's a large coil of cable, and off we went. Make the hard work bearable.

I bought a PetSafe Yardmax system for my dog and following the advice of other reviews I replaced the wire with this thing. Man I'm glad I did that. The cable that came with the kit was cheap. This material is HEAVY. I have no doubt that this material will last for many years. It just won't work if someone hits through with a shovel or an excavator. THICK. VERY glad I switched to this!

I bought this wire for an underground dog fence. There were many serious defects on the 3000ft reel. In many places, the insulation was either pinched and deformed, or missing entirely from the 6-inch gaps. As a result, I was forced to make a lot of unnecessary connections. After I contacted the dealer, they responded to my complaints very quickly and solved the problem. Apparently they had an issue with one of their suppliers but the retailer acted quickly to fix it.

Wire was delivered on time and excellent quality works great. Signal strength is good. I only had two splices, one on the feedthrough to let it through and the other to connect to a twisted pair coil that I also bought to jam the signal going into my garage. We soldered the connections and used shrink wrap and an all-weather faucet to seal the connections. I have moles in my yard and they broke the 20 gauge wire I had before. This wire is strong and I know it will last a long time.

The warning labels were there when the box arrived with a 1000ft wire spool. It was thrown into a giant box (24 inches long, 15 inches wide, and 12 inches high) with two plastic airbag packing straps that popped out and deflated. Keep in mind that this is a 1000 foot (8" x 10") spool of copper wire and weighs almost 20 pounds. The box was torn during shipping because the spool was dangling.
