The device is far from 200 watts.

The device is far from 200W. Mount the solar panel next to my other 135w rigid solar panel which weighs a lot. During testing, the solar panel supplied 4 amps of power to the battery. My other solar panel put out 6A of current. My old solar panel has the same connectors so I could use the same charge controller. So the charge controller has nothing to do with it. I suspect that boost is closer to 100 watts.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Crumpled

Performance degrades rapidly over time.

Looks good and initial results have been promising, delivering over 9 amps at 16 volts to my charge controller (about 150 watts on the right). But now, after some use, less than a month, the output has dropped to 6 amps at 16 volts (less than 100 watts) even under ideal conditions. I use an MPPT charge controller that can handle up to 260 watts on 12 volts and 10 gauge wire. Too bad this panel only delivers 1/2 of what it promises.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Inexpensive but not bad for the price

Very happy with the product for this price. It should be connected to a 20 amp charge controller, not the crappy 10 amp charge controllers that came with the unit. After a month of use I replaced the original charge controller with a 20 amp one. The product is very light and easily blown away by the wind. Update: Dokio sent a free replacement. The included controller is unusable. But overall it's a good panel for a low price and it folds down easily for storage. Would give a higher rating if it

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Has some issues

The best return on your money?

There was a problem with the first charge controller that came with this panel, but the seller promptly sent a new one. Works perfectly. Nobody can match it in this price range. Update 4/16/18: While I still think it was a decent price, I had to downgrade my rating. When I first checked these it was with the included charge controller (first came from DOA which was replaced by seller, second has since died) which seems to charge the battery just fine. When I hooked it up to a good MPPT charge…

Pros
  • Everything OK!
Cons
  • There are doubts

Excellent customer service. After a lot of stumbling and fumbling trying to get the panel working on my own and a few calls from Revain, I got a Revain customer service rep who understood my situation as they also tried to set up the solar panel themselves but also failed ( they said they just got an installer but I felt like I still had a chance). They said to contact the manufacturer (as well as post questions on the product pages) and provide an email address, which I did. So the idea came…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Available in white only

It does something at a maximum of 20% of the listed 200 watts.

Great concept and better than lugging around a panel or two with a strong frame. I get a maximum of 36 watts on the sunniest days alongside my reliable 100 watt panels and flexible 60 watts. All but this panel use 40% of the rated power. This 200w panel always delivers the same performance as any of my individual 100w panels. I have 4 ways to test with 2 different controllers (10A included and real MPPT 30A), inverter. Solar tie back 1000W controller, portable 400W battery in one device and…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • No performance

A very good portable solar solution at the moment.

(200W version) Arrived quickly. The packaging is appropriate, but there is one small complaint: A battery clip was slightly bent during transport. No problem. Attractive product, well designed and manufactured. Lightweight and portable. The canvas design of the bag looks durable. Obviously, this product is not intended for permanent or semi-permanent installation. Our plan is to use it on our sailboat's bimini, away from shore power, in good weather. Therefore, it would be strategic on our part

  • 1 year trial version

Compact, powerful, durable

Since they arrived I have been very careful with my panels due to conflicting reports of very poor power supply (both initially and worse over time). I suspected that people reporting a drop in output power over time might be excessively bending and flexing their panels and damaging them over time. I've been using my panels for a few weeks now and so far my experience has been very pleasant! I've also tried not to bend or bend them, and tried not to lean them against anything (especially at a…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Minor issues
