What choice do I have?

My 6 year old air conditioner has reached the end of its life. I replaced it with a Brisk Air II and after the third ride the fan motor started making noise. The bearings are coming out. It would probably be easier to call the President of the United States than contact Dominic's technical service for a warranty! Just swallow the bullet and pay for a new fan motor yourself. WHAT CHOICE DO I HAVE?

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • So far so good

An easy way to get the block on the roof (photo)

Replaced the old (destroyed) block with this one. Connect, connect, switch on. No problem. To get onto the wagon, I built a light ramp and sled from materials lying around. It wasn't anything special or super powerful. I put everything together in about 30 minutes and made up for it. When I was done with that, I disassembled the ramp and restored the material.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • I don't remember, but something happened

Easy to install, works great.

Last summer my 13,500 BTU (12 year old) Dometic air conditioner finally gave up the ghost. My RV is large (35ft trailer) and will be running all the time on a hot day. Upgrade to 15,000 BTU block. Very easy installation, less than 30 minutes from start to finish. Blows cold ice and works flawlessly. I thought I'd spend $1,000 and break my knuckles for four hours, but no, less than $600 and 30 easy minutes. I hope to get 12 years of it.

GREAT is a good product. Don't buy from Revain.

Purchased from RVSUPPLIES through Revain. Problems with the device began in the first two months of operation. RVSUPPLIES said to just call Dometic. With great pain I would wait in anticipation. When I finally got through they informed me they would only speak to a technician. I had a technician set up to call them. We ended up getting three numbers from service technicians who have accounts with them. One number was out of order, one was a Tyler RV that wouldn't call customer service, anotherโ€ฆ

Complete reinstall in my video - pretty good unit

If you want to see how I installed this unit on my converted bus that becomes a campervan watch my video. Overall I found the installation fairly easy and was able to complete it in half a day. Please note that installation should be easier if you are just buying this to replace your existing AC unit as you simply unplug the old unit, connect the wires and install the new unit in place. The only downside I have with this device has to do with the control unit, which is sold separately. Firstโ€ฆ

Great air conditioning at a very reasonable price.

Dometic is the standard brand of air conditioning for RVs. I bought a 15,000 BTU unit because it was the largest I could get with just a 30 amp power supply. When the grid problems where I live are fixed and I can use my 50 amp unit in addition to my 30 amp unit again, I will get a standalone Dometic. If you are concerned about the high failure rate (30%) reported for this brand, know that Dometic has fixed this issue and the failure rate is now only 1%, which is better than most brands. 15,000

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Some nuances

I bought this air conditioner as a second unit for my four 31e winch. My front air conditioner couldn't handle the summer heat and I'm very glad I bought this unit. The thing blows ice cold. Before this unit on a 95+ degree day the best I could do was mid 80's. Now I have no problem keeping it at 70 degrees in the heat of the day and maybe I could do better if I wanted to. We no longer have to constantly remind everyone to keep the door closed to keep the air in. I did a lot of research on this

Great product, easy exchange.

This 15K Btu AC is perfect. We had to replace both A/C units on our van (low branch accident. More needs to be said) and I decided to stick with what I already had. I have experience doing a lot of maintenance in my job but wasn't sure how it would go as I've never worked with an RV system before. do that. The hardest part was putting it on the van. After that everything was easy. There are no instructions included with this article, so I checked out a few blogs and articles, as well as someโ€ฆ
