Room Starters' 20-Pack White Silicone Rubber Door Stop Bumper Tips: Universal Fit Replacement Stopper Ends Review

The white natural rubber bumpers on half a dozen door stops in our house were old and starting to dry, rot, crumble and decay on the walls or the door. I didn't want to replace the cast brass hardware with inferior magnesium alloy door stops, so I used these silicone rubber stops, which only took a few minutes to replace. My guess is that silicone rubber doesn't rot as quickly as stock natural rubber bumpers. The option to choose a dark color (black) also made the doors more attractive.

If you need replacement doorstops, look no further. They are better than what you can get at big hardware stores. I bought a small pack from the store to find out they are very hard plastic and come in a variety of sizes. The plastic on them was so hard that the doorstop had to be sized accurately to clog them. I rarely write reviews but I was so impressed with this product that I wanted to tell others. I bought a set of Lowe's bumpers to replace a broken one. They were hard plastic and difficult to install. But I liked how white they were, so I wanted to replace every bumper in the house (yellowed over time). We have many hinged doorstops (with two rubber bumpers each). Many of the rubber bumpers were broken and fell off while the rest were hard and discolored. Since they were marked 'universal' I decided to try them and they fit perfectly. Removing the old bumpers (if you still have them) and installing 2 new bumpers takes less than a minute. I'm glad I paid a little more for the silicone pads as I'm sure they will retain their elasticity for ten years. I would definitely buy this product again but

I bought these because a couple of the door stops in my house were kind of missing (I need to see if the dog is hooked on them or so - lol). I needed several which made this package a good deal. It was probably triple what I needed, but now I have something for the future. They go very easily - almost too easily and at first I was worried they would come loose but so far they seem to be holding up fine at least (time will tell). I have these spring-loaded doorstops all over my house. They measure just over 1/4 inch wide at the top of the end. These tips are good. Silicone should provide soft rebound for a long time. They fit well and seem to stay in place. They're slightly wider than the original tips, which were more plastic, and have nicer rebound.
