No brain dryer. thick and strong

There is no drain plug on the reservoir. This is an obvious improvement. They make truck pans that are deeper but can be a problem for an understated Mustang. It fits perfectly with the stock. It is made in China. However, it is forged from thick sheet steel and corresponds to original equipment manufacturer quality. It was received within two days. I had no problems installing, reusing the original gasket and using a new filter. There are no liquid leaks. My friend came to us with theโ€ฆ

Perfect fit for 2017 Ford F150 5.0L with 6 speed transmission.

Product fits 2017 F-150 5L V8 exactly. There are two magnets in the 2017 factory range. I moved both magnets to the new pan. The bottom ring magnet doesn't have a central ridge to accommodate a second magnet, but that wasn't a problem, it stays in place without getting in the way. There are no leaks, the new pan is as strong as the original. I went ahead and replaced the copper washer on the drain plug with a good quality washer. The transmission filter must be carefully aligned duringโ€ฆ

The oil pan is too shallow and will not work properly on the 6R80 transmission.

The oil pan is not as deep as the original transmission pan. Due to the difference in depth, the transmission filter does not fit (tightly). The transmission fluid does not flow well through the filter due to a tight fit, causing the transmission to not engage. In any case, with a tight fit or poor feed, the gearing would not engage in this sump. I had to spend an extra 3 1/2 hours under the car on the way back to replace this pan with the original design pan. I also spent $40 on transmissionโ€ฆ

At least as good as the OEM, plus a drain plug that can leak

Dropping the transmission oil pan to change the oil almost always causes a mess. No matter how you arrange pots, cardboard, and paper towels, lying on your back in the garage can spill. But not anymore. Having replaced my Ford pan with a Dorman, all I have to do now is remove the pan when I want to change the filter, which Ford says can be reused as long as it shows no signs of fouling. Ford also says the fluid and filter should be serviced every 150,000 miles. Ha. Now I find it easy to drainโ€ฆ
