Dorman 520-134 lever

Cheap quality. After installation, there is a strange noise coming from the suspension when braking or accelerating.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • There are nuances

Good product! fits wishbones

There's no quicker or easier way to replace a ball joint, the time saved more than makes up for the additional cost of replacing just the ball joint, plus you get new bushings!

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • So-so

Perfect fit and replacement

My 2002 Pontiac Grand Am with 95,000 miles needed to replace the control arm bushings. , and a new ball joint. I bought a 'Dorman 520-133 Control Lever' and a 'Dorman 520-134 Control Lever' and swapped them out in my own garage without much trouble. The end result is that the original rusty, worn control levers have been completely replaced and the steering is safer and smoother. I've since put 7,000 miles on the new levers with no problems.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons

At my second.

I have replaced this but the new ball joint already has some play. Something is wrong with the levers on the passenger side. The ball joint used is significantly inferior in quality to the Dorman lever on the driver's side. The other one I have is rock solid after two years and is a sealed piece. The ball joint on this one has a zerk. Luckily I had a grease gun with mobil 1 grease on hand, although the grease didn't save the old one I'm not sure how much it will help the new one. I may have to…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not the best

Ok I can oil a side

LEFT side Dorman used to be a quality manufacturer but they have a product that is made in China. Materials made in China are very questionable. I have found that within a few months the quality of the rubber used for the bushings and chassis grease fittings begins to deteriorate and crack. Then you can do this job over and over again! LOOK FOR US product! So goods made in China are not "OE" quality, OE has lasted 25 years or more. And another note: the left side is different (Dorman 520-134)…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic

Just right: replacement parts

My 2002 Pontiac Grand Am with 125,000 miles needed to have the rear control arm bushings replaced. I went ahead and bought the bushings myself ($25 for both sides) based on the mechanic's recommendation that I could do it myself. After spending a week *getting* these damn things out, I bent one of the original wishbones to fit the new ones. Pooh. I bought them from Revain and they were here in two days with all the new bushings. on the contrary, exactly right. I did as I read in another review,

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • old
