Form yes, fit yes, function no

I installed this in a 2013 Volvo XC 90 3.2 to get the P0087 fuel rail pressure code answer low. The engine didn't run long enough for the seat belt to click. The gas pedal didn't help. I hooked up a scanner to monitor the pressure in the fuel rail. It fluctuated between 25 and 57 psi several times before dropping to zero and the engine stalled. I've restarted the car several times, same performance. I reinstalled the Volvo (Bosch) module and the car ran with a constant fuel rail pressure ofโ€ฆ

Rule number 1. Compare new and old parts.

The base has been mounted backwards so the ramps that secure this module under the brackets have also been pushed back. Installed it after the remodel.

I always thought Dorman was trash. I was right.

I have been a freelance Volvo mechanic for 22 years. The Dorman brand has a bad reputation in this area, but I recently learned that one of my colleagues was successful. When the PEM started behaving on my 2004 V70, which I drive daily, I crawled under the car, hit it with a hammer to get the car started, and ordered this part from Revain to see if I could Lucky and saved $130 in comparison to dealer unit. . The new module doesn't fit where the FEM lives under the car on the gas tank. Looksโ€ฆ
