That's a pen like that. it will break after about 9 months, like a baby coming out to piss you off. Take two to feel better with a backup plan, also called Plan B.

Correct size and colour. Fits well, easy to assemble. But it's so cheap that it broke within the first week of installation. If this went on for a year I would take it. But a week. Please don't waste your money. I am sorry.

Easy Installation. Came up like a factory. The seams are strong (I wear a week). The color was slightly darker than the original part. Be careful with the small white part connected to the wire, it can easily break. Be careful.

This is exactly what I needed. While Toyota could have improved on the original design by using metal pivots, oh well. In the attached photo you can see where the plastic twist pin is cut off on the handle. It'll break again in 10 years if Toyota doesn't fix one thing, but $6 every 10 years, I'll take it.

This part fits my 1998 Tacoma SR5 perfectly and I have luckier than other reviewers. I bought and installed it in August 2013 and it broke this week. I'm very good with my cars and this grip worked well while it lasted. Maybe $0.25 more molded plastic around the handle hinges would have made it a lot more secure. Good for a cheaper solution, for example if you want to sell a car even though the color doesn't match. I just replaced it with a genuine part that is exactly the same as the original…
