Just a cap on coolant reservoir caps

Ordered about a year ago for my limited edition '93 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My only complaint is the green color on top, indicating the coolant is starting to come off.

It works for my jeep

I've seen a lot of comments about it not working. I have a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.0. Works fine for my jeep. If you're not sure if it fits, take a look at my photo I've added. Yes, it will fit SOME coolant expansion tanks.

DO NOT BUY THIS CAP FOR GRAND CHEROKEE ZJ 93-94 - IT WILL NOT FIT.

This cap will NOT fit my 94 Grand Cherokee's stock reservoir because the cap is too large and the threads do not match the threads on the tangential axle. I am the original owner of this car and have never changed the expansion tank. . The problem appears to be in the parts supplier/dealer database and/or there was a specification error somewhere, possibly at the Chinese manufacturer level. 93-94 use the same cap but then change to 95-98; I suspect this cap might actually fit 95-98, but it…

Doesn't fit right

Tried a few of these before giving up. If you search the internet for "replacement coolant cap" or "replacement coolant cap" and "cherokee" you will find that people had the same problem as me with this cap - it screws on correctly . then appears. My guess is that the threads on the tank have warped over the years - and maybe the replacement cap will fit the new, original tank - it just doesn't work well with the old tank that's been sitting in a hot engine bay for years. My old cap still fits…
