The switches started failing after about 2 years

I thought I "robbed the bank" compared to the OEM price the dealer wanted, not to mention the stupid one Setup fee which was optional. It worked great for about 2 years but the switches started to fail. Before that, the bottom two screw tabs broke, and when I pressed the buttons, they gave way badly. I used Goop to solve this problem but I'm afraid to remove it. It's in my truck, which I don't use that often, so it's not a big deal. Just thought I would share my experience.

Works great - reasonable price.

Excellent replacement switch. All functions work well, including the automatic lowering function on the driver's side. Soft green glow. I had a problem with the power mirrors and went to the dealer. He told me that a few years ago a new switch cost almost $200. At that price I lived with fixed mirrors. I kept changing the blown fuses, but the mirrors still wouldn't move. Now everything is fine with the new switch. That might not be a problem for your truck, but it was for mine. I pulled outโ€ฆ

Quick fix for broken power windows

All the windows in my 2004 Dodge Dakota SLT were blocked (it started with one rear window and then spread to the rest). The only window control that opened any of the windows was the driver's main control. This doorman block is an exact replacement (I recommend watching a YouTube video for easy installation). I was able to remove and replace this device within 10 minutes. As other customers have pointed out, the taillights are a bit brighter than the old unit, but I see that as a plus as it'sโ€ฆ

The part failed a few days after installation after 1 year.

Purchased on May 15, 2015, now out of service on May 26, 2016. It has worked great to this day when the driver's side window got stuck in the down position in the rain and hail. I turned off the car, unplugged it and checked that there was no damage to the connectors, wiring or device. All other functions of the device still worked, window lock, other window control, mirror control, lighting, only driver's window control did not work. I went to my local mechanic that I use for work and theyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • New to my collection

I had to buy this for my 2003 Dodge Ram crew cab pickup because I could only control the windows from the driver's panel. Obviously, the control lock button will malfunction, resulting in all other doors being locked at all times when opening/closing windows. I've been using only the driver's door to control all the windows for too long. My wife wanted her window up or down, she had to ask. I wanted her window closed but she wanted it upstairs so we'd have to argue about it. For the price, this
