LITTLE CAP - DO NOT BUY

The product sucks. Poor tolerance control leads to fuel leakage! I changed the filter on this truck over 200,000 miles ago so I know how to properly position the wedge o-ring.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Chinese garbage. on fuel filter

Chinese junk as usual. Installed twice and each time the primer failed to form a proper seal. Gasoline sprayed everywhere. Yes, I just installed a junk product correctly. Pay a few dollars more and find a factory Ford engine cover.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Very expensive

hear feedback!

Listen to other reviews I have not heard! Mine might get stuck. if only it had hit the hull! The fitment was so poor I thought I ordered the wrong part (it was the correct P/N for 99-04 7.3L). Spend your money on Motorcraft and save yourself the headache.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Periodicity

Not a Motorcraft part but does the job

Although the design is slightly different from the Motorcraft version, I like this part. It is designed for use with motorcycle fuel injectors (which do not come with a cap) on a 7.3 liter Ford/International engine. I recommend only using Motorcraft filters on engines. I refuse to buy secondary filters because there are small differences that can cause problems. I ended up breaking this one. I was in a hurry and unscrewed it with a flathead screwdriver and tapped the outer ring with the…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Minor issues

Gasket/seal defective after 6 months. Diesel flows around the perimeter.

Worked for 6 months and the seal broke. Diesel fuel leak between fuel tank and plastic cap. The "O-ring" (not really an "O" but more of a triangle/wedge shape) looks deformed after 6 months in the truck. Less than 5,000 km driven since installation. First I noticed that the fuel consumption wasn't as good as I'm used to and then I saw the location of the leak on the gravel. I installed a new drain valve/seals as that is usually the culprit but it is still leaking. Fired and right. I can see…
