Fits perfectly. Mounting holes are welded with nuts.

Perfect fit. Nuts are welded to the mounting holes. Used hanger bolts. When lowering, I had to pull down on the tire carrier as there was no weight on it. I lubricated the cable before mounting and lifting the tire. Works great for me. This is one of those parts that you just hope you don't use often.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Negative impression

Looks like a quality product

Looks like a quality product. Will not unwind without tension (weight) of winch. This is a serious limitation. If you've ever used your spare wheel and didn't put the broken wheel back in, didn't wind up the winch to keep the cable from dangling, then you'd ruin it trying to unwind it if you didn't know that you had to crawl under. there and pull down while you relax! Yes, the cable stretches inside the device and blocks it.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • No performance

Worked as expected.

Used to replace a broken spare tire winch on a 2002 F-150 Supercrew. The exchange went smoothly. The part arrived with threaded holes and is ready to install. After reading other reviews about the importance of maintaining cable tension, I installed the part first (simply after removing the original rusty assembly). The helper then turned the winch to lower the cable while I pulled on it. I plugged the cable into the spare wheel hub and gently spun the wheel.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

Good replacement for storage lift.

Good product. Easy do-it-yourself replacement. Suggest spraying Deep Creep, PB Blaster or some other penetrating oil on the two original bolts holding the original spare wheel winch first and give it a little time to work. Direct fit, no need for "custom fit". The long plastic tube that guides the tool into the winch mount behind the bumper is a bit fiddly to install, but the winch isn't to blame. Using a small amount of Gorilla Glue and tapping the end of the tube lightly helped secure it in…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Zero

TOTAL OTHER DO NOT BUY DOESN'T WORK WHEN YOU NEED IT

Total rubbish! Like others here, I started lifting the tire after the tire was off the ground, the winding mechanism made a sound like it was clicking inside. After that, the mechanism didn't raise or lower the wheel no matter how long and in which direction I turned it. DO NOT BUY plastic socket around cable and latch! I've worked on cars my whole life, a simple install isn't like buying two bolts, if you can't do that you shouldn't be working on a car! but what's the point of fitting if it's…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Almost never

You have that cowboy. You will repair your OWN truck.

Great item, great price. 10 minutes installation. DON'T GO CRAZY IF YOU FIND THIS FOR USE WITH SELF TAPPING SCREWS. You get it, it's easy. Wiggle the black plastic tube off the old winch. He just pushes there and hooks a little fang. It will come straight from Take a half inch head and unscrew the two screws holding the broken one. Twist it at the end and it will come out straight. Remember how you did it. Throw it away. Unpack your new winch and note that there are no pre-threaded threads on…
