Cable won't stay in hook

The eyelet that attaches the parking brake cable is not at the right angle, causing the cable to come loose. I've compared them to original OEMs and the difference is noticeable. It was inappropriate.

Fit '06 Titan 2WD in Automotive Parts

Attention buyers: This part does not correspond to the OEM geometry and is not secure.

The cable hook is much smaller and less rounded than the OEM part (as noted by a previous reviewer). There is a risk that the end of the cable will slip off completely and the parking brake will be released. Since the lever/hook is a stamped piece of metal there is no excuse for it not to be OEM geometry and that says a lot about Dorman products.
