🚗 Dorman C660183 Parking Brake Cable - Premium Quality for Efficient Braking Review

Removing the old broken wire from the truck was not easy. Installing this new cable was pretty easy. Now all I have to do is adjust the rear brake hubs and everything should be fine.

Mediocre fit and finish. Does not have a rubber grommet to seal a floor clearance hole or a slip coating on the cable like an OEM part. The cable broke after ten months of normal use.

I installed this handbrake cable on my 1999 F350. The installation process wasn't difficult, and at first I was glad to solve this problem. However, after only 2 months, the parking brake cable broke right inside my brake pedal. Now my parking brake is broken (again) and in a few weeks I won't be able to return the broken item. Not very happy with this cable.

This item fits my 2000 F250 Crew Cab 4x4 perfectly. There is some advice YOU NEED! lower part last. Installing the last piece under the thread will shorten it by about 2 inches. Don't worry, this is normal. You will need to pull KART on the cable you installed as it has about 3-4 inches of adjustment that you can loosen to bring it together by pulling both sides together. hope this helps you Michael in Hawaii

High quality, good price, easy installation. The only problem I had was getting the clips to attach properly. The bezel appears to be a little thicker than the clips would allow. But a few little things and everything fell into place. These cables are manufactured to a higher specification than OEM parts and offer much better performance. We recommend.
