Life Saver - my new review

The Sock Donner has changed my life! I can now put on my compression stocking by myself. Before, it took at least two people and a lot 0f prayers mixed in with a few cuss words! Many thanks to the genius who thought this up!

Pros
  • Helps prevent frustration and discomfort for those with limited mobility or flexibility
Cons
  • May only work well with certain types of socks, such as dress socks or athletic socks

Awesome Tool in my review

This product makes it so easy to put compression socks on. My husband was prescribed one of the tightest compression socks. He is unable to bend his leg, stretch the sock open and bend over to put them on. I had to put them on for him. I am not strong enough to open the sock enough to put them on without hurting him. The Sock Helper eliminates the pain and is easy for him to pull up by himself thus regaining some independence.Greatest product I have purchased in years.

Pros
  • it works well .It was a gift and it was just what the person required to put on her sub hose.
Cons
  • Neat idea, but I can't bend enough to reach the handles, so useless for me.

bad and hard to use product. don't buy it

I'm 82 yo woman and wanted this product to make my life a bit easier but its didn't. its very uncomfortable to use and i need to band to pull it and its very heavy. Don't buy this product, it is a waste of money. and you cant return it too.Very disappointing and dissatisfying experience with amazon.

Pros
  • Made of steel with smooth plastic coatings
Cons
  • May not accommodate smaller feet sizes

It's not sized for people with edema, or very fat legs, if you are using it for compression socks/stockings. I bought it for a friend, but he threw away the box, so it can't be returned. The problem is most likely the compression stockings, and the fact that this is sized for 'normal' ankles and legs. We went to a specialty store, where they had one for wide legs w/edema, and that one is too difficult to use with compression stockings.I tried this one myself, though I don't need it, I'm quite…

Pros
  • I don't consider my calves to be large, but this helper was just too small.
Cons
  • do not work with compression socks

I couldn't put on sox without it, but it only starts my foot into the sock. The socks slide off of the frame before I get much past my ankle. It is very helpful, but the grab bars are" not long enough" to get a good grip.Having a way to secure the sock to the frame so the sock can be pulled further up the leg before it slides off of the frame would be nice, because it is still a struggle getting the sock the rest of the way up the leg.I am grateful for what it does, but it could be…

Pros
  • The Helper without handles is used in a similar way by a caregiver to put socks or stockings on another person.
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with mobility or dexterity issues

EASY to use and WORKS!

My mom had a terrible time getting support socks on until I got her this. It is so easy for her to use. She is 85 years old and has had both shoulders broken in the past few years from falls, but she has no problem at all now getting her socks on by herself. Thank you

Pros
  • Medical Supplies & Equipment
Cons
  • May become damaged or worn over time with frequent use

Helped a lot. for my opinion

Easy to use but read the instructions. A great help putting on socks with my bad lower back pain. Is well made and sturdy. May take some time to master the proper technique for using the product.

Pros
  • Ideal for individuals with arthritis or joint pain who find traditional sock wearing challenging
Cons
  • May take some time to master the proper technique for using the product

Makes living easier. I have a nerve disease which which has made extremely difficult to do even the most simple task. This has helped to be just a little more independent. Thank you.

Pros
  • Easy to assemble and disassemble for convenient storage and travel
Cons
  • May not work well with socks that have a lot of texture or embellishments

Single Ezu Sock Aide

I found the Single Ezu sock aide much too narrow for my feet. This was the largest they had. I would not recommend this otem

Must have if you have leg issues

I am having issues with putting on my compression socks but this product solved all my issues. It works as described. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • Improve your independence with the Double Easy Sock Donner by eliminating the need for assistance with sock wearing
Cons
  • May take some getting used to for people who prefer to put on socks manually
