I love my area rug but it would always move no .

I NEVER EVER EVER leave feedback BUT I have been tortured by my area rug which is on my carpet until using this carpet tape. I love my area rug but it would always move no matter what I have tried. I tried one of those sticky pads which kind of worked but still moved after a couple of days and always thought that was my best bet until this carpet tape. This is the first time thus far (about 2 weeks now) that my area rug has not moved on my carpet. I can't believe it. My sanity is back. There is

Pros
  • Duct Tape
Cons
  • The tape may be difficult to remove from the backing paper, making it frustrating to use

Okay Multi-use Tape, best to stick to carpet and rugs

IntroI moved into a house with hard wood and our two couches were struggling with slipping and sliding on the new floor. I sought out some options and decided on Intertape 9970 Indoor Carpet Tape. I had tried small rubber feet and those did not work at all. A lot of people like the mesh rubber netting, but that flips up very easy.Pros; it is simple to use and holds fairly well for carpet and rugs. The double side provides more uses than just for floors.+ easy to tear+ holds well under regular…

Pros
  • Re-usable and repositionable, making it a versatile option for different carpet placements
Cons
  • The tape may not be able to hold up to extreme temperatures or weather conditions

Used for carpet squares

Bought this tape to hold down some previously used carpet squares that were still in decent shape. The squares already had some self adhesive left on the backs of them, but the edges were not staying down as well as I wanted. A few of them i put a piece all the way down one side while others just needed a small piece in the corners. Once the tape was placed, the squares held to the concrete sub-floor much better and look great. I tried pulling one of the squares back up after a day or two, it…

Pros
  • Suitable for a wide range of carpets, including thick and heavy ones
Cons
  • The tape may not be suitable for use on carpets with padding or other underlayments

Amazingly Effective

This stuff works exactly, and even better, as advertised.I first used it in a traditional application - securing the front door rug to the wood floor it sits on. Even using a grip pad under it, the rug would curl up any time someone opened the door, or slide across the floor if you didn't watch your step. I thought "this should help." And sure enough, it did. I can vacuum on top of this rug and it does not move. Then I thought, hey, let me stick this on the corners of the rug. We have…

Pros
  • Provides a professional, neat and tidy appearance to carpets – without any unpleasant bumps or bubbles
Cons
  • The tape may not be strong enough to prevent carpet buckling or wrinkling

I am mostly pleased with the results

I have three floor mats in my kitchen and my kitchen floor is wood. Despite having a "non-slip" backing, the mats never stay in place. Extremely frustrated, I was threatening my husband that I was going to glue the things to the floor! I found this tape and given the reviews I decided to give it a try. I am mostly pleased with the results. I lined each mat with six full length strips of this tape (probably over kill but I was desperate!) and they haven't shifted a millimeter! The only…

Pros
  • Adhesive Tapes
Cons
  • The tape may not hold up well over time, losing its adhesive quality and causing the carpet to come loose

Finally, a carpet tape that works!

We have gone through several different mats and carpet tapes to try to keep a rug secured to the carpet below it. Our most recent attempt, and the one that had been the most successful, was a thick foam-type tape. It worked great at the beginning, but over time and traffic, the thick type began rolling over itself, causing lumps under the rug and making the it completely ineffective at actually doing its job.I tried this tape on a whim after reading good reviews here. This is a thin…

Pros
  • Good initial tack allowing immediate, permanent bond to a variety of surfaces
Cons
  • The tape may not be strong enough for heavy objects or high-traffic areas

Works great so far on my review.

I love area rugs, but putting them on carpets is a pain because they move around when walked on. I tried a carpet tape from Home Depot and it worked well. However, I like to rearrange the furniture quiet often, and that carpet tape tore holes in the area rugs and left sticky residue on the carpets. I tried going without tape for awhile, but they move too much and I couldn't take it anymore. I read the reviews for this tape and it sounded like just what I've been looking for. I've had the tape…

Pros
  • Offers superior grip and prevents the edges of carpets from curling up or fraying
Cons
  • The tape may not be appropriate for use in rental properties or other temporary situations

love this stuff: my feedback

I never even knew this stuff existed. I always heard about rug pads and thought "no thanks" but then we moved into a house with a slate floor entryway that needed a rug but the rug kept slipping around. It was driving me nuts, so I thought "ugh, I guess I'll have to break down and buy a rug pad" but then amazon led me to this stuff. It's fantastic! We have used it on heavier pile carpet, concrete, slate, and low pile carpet with excellent results. Rugs I didn't even need to tape

Pros
  • Works for mounting novelties and promotional items, sign positioning, splicing, and any application that requires the joining of two surfaces
Cons
  • The tape may be expensive compared to other carpet installation methods

Good Tape for Smooth Floors

As a concept, I like this tape because it helps with holding down a rug in a difficult spot. However, it's a bit of a lightweight. That said, I have to admit that the spot in which I am using it is a high traffic area, so the rug is not being held down as strongly as I'd like it to be held. I am not giving up on this tape, though, because it has excellent sticking qualities; it's just that it's thin. What I plan on doing, and I think this will solve my problem very well, is that when I have to…

Pros
  • Designed for indoor use, the carpet tape is long-lasting and durable
Cons
  • The tape may be difficult to cut to size, resulting in wasted product
