It handles my 300 lb truck generator rack with ease. Will not bend even when pushed all the way out. Then I can also lean against him with my upper body and he still doesn't give way. I bet it could actually hold 500 pounds for at least a few years.

These things are great! Very heavy and easy to assemble. I use them to turn my sofa into a bed in my converted RV. They support my weight and my husband's (and we are not light people) without additional legs to support the elongated part. The full extended width is 48 inches, making the van a good full size bed.

they are strong. Perfect for my project. The only thing I don't care about is that they can't be taken apart, so you can't remove the drawer or whatever you attach it to. I suppose it's a tricky thing with 500lb rails, so it's less of a 'problem' and more of 'be aware' that it's the only way, a crate or whatever unscrew it while it is off the rails.
