Comfortable headset with decent sound quality at a great price

Great headset at a great price. Bought this headset 1-1/2 years ago for my 11 year old son. He used it every day and it lasted and worked great. Buy another one just because the cat nibbled on the string. If the cat hadn't gotten him, I'm sure he would have lasted at least another year. Outstanding quality for the price. The sound quality is excellent. In addition, it is very convenient - the son refuses to use another headset. I definitely recommend this headset.

After 6 months still intact and working great.

My son bought these and he says they are comfortable and work great. He's only 12, but his head is about the size of an adult medium, if that helps. I'm glad they've held up considering how they've been thrown around, probably dressed occasionally and generally not looked after very well. I've noticed that my 8-year-old son wears them occasionally when we're not watching (he's not yet allowed to interact with random Xbox Live kids), and they seem to fit him too. He also has a big head for his…

Excellent quality, best phone accessory

I used the microphone that came with the Xbox 360. My friends always complained that they couldn't hear half of what I was saying or that the mic was muted halfway through. in a word, partly because there is noise in our house and I have to speak softly. As a result, I had to speak loudly, which resulted in the family complaining that I was being woken up at 4am. Also, anyone in the room with me could hear everything my friends were saying, both tactics and curses. Or I spoke robots until I…

Does what it takes. most of the time.

When this thing works, it's perfect. Beyond that, however, there are some notable downsides (at least for the headset I received). My headset may not have had a mute button. It works when it's on, but turning the mic on only works if you unplug and plug it back in. Something is also wrong with the way he wired the mute switch/plug zone. In most cases, a slight movement of the head will squeeze the cable and the speaker will turn off. You can usually tell when it's supposed to happen because…

I'm sold! - So far, so good!

First of all I'm very picky about headsets. I don't need stereo sound, and wireless sounds awful to me, so I'm sticking with regular OEM wired headsets with a boom. They don't seem to make the ones they used to make anymore, so I've been trying to find another reliable headset that sounds good and doesn't require a yell to get it to pick up. I think I've found my new favorite model. It has a nice soft earbud that covers the entire ear and a long stem that adjusts to fit any ear. It has an…

Much better than other headsets I've used before

Kinect set, headset with keyboard and unbranded generic afterglow headset. Everyone kept frustrating me with the wires in the headset getting loose and the mic not picking up sound, which isn't a big deal during the day when I can use the kinect mic, but tiring at night when I want to play quietly with my friends, who don't hear me with an ordinary inner voice. The earphones bothered me the most. If this headset had a speaker that I couldn't hear anything from, then it would be practically…
