There are better ways to cut notches in tiles, but if you just need to cut a few tiles like I do, this is a good alternative to buying a dedicated tile cutter. I used a dampened sponge to squeeze some water onto the work piece as I cut to keep the blade cool. I don't know, it was absolutely necessary, but it seemed like a good idea.

I bought an ultra saw and 3 of these diamond cutters to tile the wall behind our fireplace; These are stone heavy tiles. I bought 3 because I had experience with other cutters that didn't last long. So I bought these blades because there were a lot of them. I really needed a metal cutting blade for a project I have. I had to cut 1/8" thick aluminum and make 3 smaller cuts. Well I took these blades and put one on my Drexel grinder. The blade worked fine. I made a template to allow the grinder to run smoothly across the top of the aluminum.
