Description of Drill America DWDRSD19 32 Reduced Shank
High-speed steel tools are good for most general purpose applications, offering a combination of hardness and toughness for wear resistance. Black oxide treatment adds lubricity and creates small pockets on the surface of the tool that act to hold coolant near the cutting edge. Round shanks allow use with a wide variety of tool holding systems. When run in a counterclockwise direction (right-hand cut) spiral fluted tools evacuate chips up and out of the cut to reduce clogging. Ideal for drilling in low and medium tensile strength materials
Chinese Gum Steel. It didn't go 1/8" into the already drilled 1/2" hole in mild steel before it stopped cutting. He was also well lubricated, and I'm not talking prostitute saliva. Class A mud
I did a pilot hole and all but the four holes I drilled in 1/8th mild steel were completely unconvincing. I don't expect them to look like they've been pierced with a reamer, but they should be reasonably round.
I needed this drill bit to open the inside diameter of the fitting used to connect two pressure washer hoses. One side of the nipple had to be open about .050 so the port was on one side when the hoses fitted and this 19/32 bit did its job well!
