Worked for me! on Hand Tools

I don't like ratcheting cartridge guns because to me they are almost disposable compared to commercial guns. This item was CHEAP ($10) and paid for itself by installing four 29-ounce tubes of Sikaflex SL at my expansion joints. I wouldn't pay $20 for it; This type of gun can be a PITA if you are not an experienced sealer as it uses the method of stopping the flow when moving or changing the direction of the bead application. In short, a great buy at this price!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Unsafe

Functional caulking gun

This caulking gun is functional but not perfect. Dripless is a brand, not a service; it drips when you're not watching it. The plunger mechanism will sometimes rotate under gravity as you lower it, so the next time you raise it it won't eject material until you adjust it again. Those are really my only complaints about the caulking gun other than it does what it's supposed to do. It's not very expensive either, so I would definitely choose this option again if I was looking for a largerโ€ฆ

Not so great. in Hand Tools

Works fine but in the middle of the first tube the spring doesn't work to push the handle back so I have to do it manually. That means if I pull it all the way down the trigger doesn't retract and I have to pull it back for the next pull. It still works fine, just not as it should. Also, I don't quite understand what "not a drip" means, because when you stop pressing and turn the button 180 degrees to release the pressure, the glue (which is what I use it for) keeps oozing out a little bit .โ€ฆ
