Suitable for embroidery. The woman who taught me has multiple sclerosis and has to embroider with longer needles because she doesn't use her left hand much. Sometimes I find a long needle more comfortable, depending on the project.

Excellent quality from a brand I have trusted for many years. Large eyelets make it much easier to thread a wide variety of ropes. I use these 5 inch needles with heavy gauge knitting yarn to thread all kinds of fresh flowers onto Hawaiian floral leis. Class AAA+ needles from Dritz!

These needles are perfect for threading a doll head to protect eyes or nose when making a doll head. Even if you have to go through the body. They're flexible enough to bend a little to get the right angle and strong enough to go through cotton heads. I'm really glad I found this product.

I have no idea how doll needles are traditionally used, but these needles are 3+ inches long, quite sharp and well tempered. I found that a little manual sharpening/buffing improved the penetration and passage of the fabric. I've used them to pull running stitches through jeans and sweatpants in both crochet yarn and cotton yarn. A must-have for any manual stapler's toolbox.
