Overpriced but nice in my opinion

Great product but you know it's a special product for the price. It works well, definitely easier than sharpening chalk with a knife like I did, but stay away from this brand of chalk holders/sharpeners. It's just rubbish.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Arrived safely: Sewing

This is a good product for labeling quilts. I don't use blue, just white. It washed out everything I've used with it in the washing machine. Leaves a good mark that will not fade or rub off. I even ironed it and it's still staining. The packaging was good, judging by the photo. The chalk itself has a sponge underneath to prevent tearing during transport. I recommend this product.

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons
  • Modern

As I always use

When I first learned to sew with mine, it was exactly the marker crayon that it had. I've been using it ever since. The two colors give you different options depending on the item you're marking, and it's fairly easy to remove with a light brush - completely after washing. This applies not only to fabric, but also to speaker fabrics, vinyl, leather and other items. A must-have item for any sewing kit that has scissors in it.

Pros
  • quality construction
Cons
  • ribbon

Marks well, peels off easily

I like that I can quickly and easily mark fabric as I work without getting chalk on my hands and when I'm done with the marks they come off easily I have tried these (cotton prints, polyester blends, tighter silk fabrics). What doesn't make me so happy is that the crayons slip out of the holder a bit while I'm working, so sometimes I have to stop. and put it back in. However, this is very low. I wouldn't mind using chalk and a dritz holder just for this little problem.

Pros
  • Easy to use

I went back to a reliable sewing tool

When I work with fabric I "mark" it for various reasons, adjusting the fit, stitch line, starting or ending point, buttonhole position etc. Of course there are modern markers with "inkโ€ that will wash out or fade, and I've used them, but lately I've been sewing in stages on my own schedule. Rarely do I complete a project in a reasonable amount of time. The ink fades before the work is finished, which is very inconvenient. So I went back to reliable chalk. Blue for light fabrics, white for darkโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slight wrinkles

Buy a washable marker instead

I remember using this product in high school to mark edges in home economics class. When a friend mentioned she uses it, I bought it. I don't know how there could be any better or worse ways to use rammed chalk, so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but it just doesn't mark anything for more than a while. foot or something. Then the edge becomes shiny and rammed and hard, like there's more clay than chalk. I rotated it and used a different angle. By the time I've burned all fourโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
