I'm not a chemist so I can't confirm the lubricity but I really like it. It is very "sticky" and a good compromise between fat and oil. I have used it for purposes other than engine assembly.

I use this grease every day in our workshop when I build engines and also build cylinder heads. This is good because it's not too heavy and dissolves in the engine oil when you start it and doesn't cause problems like a can of lube but stays in place even if the engine has to sit for a while before starting. comfortable and not messy, a little dab on each bearing, valve guide, etc.
