Several times I almost gave up. But at 3am on the second day I finally got it working. Trying to use two USB to serial converters and a desktop computer with an actual serial port on the back to communicate with the device. The manufacturer claims are wrong and bad at best. The manufacturer's website is useless except for downloading the software. As other reviewers have written, you need to disassemble the device, then make sure the 2 jumpers are set on the "PC" pins to set the correct baud…

Works great but changing settings can be tricky.

Need to change the baud rate to 115200. Downloaded the tools easy enough but couldn't crack the code on how to get it working until I read a review that suggested it might be the HC-05 instead of not HC-05. XK-06. So I opened it up, pressed the button and used the HC-05 tab. Then the baud rate change worked. key moment. Use the Test button to ensure the device accepts "AT" commands (returns "OK"). After confirming that the "AT" command works, the rest of the configuration commands will also…

DSD technical support is not working.

I bought a BlueTooth RS232 adapter to switch between an Android device and an RS232 device that only receives data. The description of this device indicated that it would work. I haven't put the product into production yet, I'm still configuring it. I think it will work. DSD TECH email support offered no real suggestions on how to set up the device. abominable! The people who interacted with me obviously knew nothing about the product. The documents proposed for use did not contain any useful…

Very cheap but needs work on quality control

I have been using IOGear GBC232A for my projects and spent $70 each on them. Shame I didn't hear about this device sooner - it does exactly the same thing for a fraction of the price. I've only been using it for < 24 hours, but so far it's working just as well as IOGear. It also defaults to a reasonable 9600, 8N1 so it works out of the box for me without any adjustments, while IOGear defaults to 19200. One problem is that I have to use it with devices where a straight through cable would…
