I like that it is free to use for academic repositories (as opposed of other software which are expensive). It has some limitations in terms user interface but they have been working hard at improving this over time as well so there should be no problems with using dSpace within an institution or organization once improvements come out later down stream! It is very easy to navigate through the site. I like how it makes it simple to create my own folders and file types for uploading images and other media. I also love that you can easily search the site for items. Very useful if you are looking for something in particular. Sometimes it takes a few clicks of the mouse before things load up correctly.
