That's what I bought it for and it broke quickly the first time I tried to pull it out. These are lightweight cotton Roman blinds and lightweight plastic blinds.

For some reason this reel was pressed down with a hot needle which melted some lines and left melted weak spots all over the reel. Unusable.EDIT: The product I received was clearly defective to the point of being unusable. The seller responded very quickly to a negative review and immediately refunded my money. I upgraded my rating to 3 stars because I think it would have been a good product without the melted pen and how quick the seller responded.
