Purchased product used to seal battery terminals on a boat. A small number of tubes were tested. worked fine The remaining blanks are prepared. The tube could no longer be used because the adhesive activated by itself and the tube wall stuck to itself. Warning: This tube is supplied in a flat coil. Why is it important? Read in: shrink temperature is high - more than a hair dryer. But glue is a different story. In the sun on a 145-degree day, the glue heats up faster than your mom does when she…

To cover metal pipes

I used 1"31" heat shrink tubing to cover a 3/4" diameter painted tube used as a kitchen towel warmer. The gloss painted tube was too smooth so the towels slipped off too easily.I had to use a lot of heat with a heat gun to get this tube to gently shrink around the metal tube but eventually it took shape smoothly. This polyolefin heat shrink tubing gives the towel warmer a surface that is much less slippery is painted finish than the original. I first tried this idea with the clear version of…

Wouldn't buy for small harnesses

A bit of my fault for not taking the time to double measure, but the tube arrived more than I expected for a relatively small harness. Never mind, decided to use it anyway. It arrived flat as hell, requiring you to fiddle with it before you could let anything through. Due to the adhesive inside combined with the flatness due to the packaging, it was very difficult to run the wires through the hose more than 6 inches per foot. Shrinking requires a ton of heat, of the 3 feet I shrunk I only made…
