Very dissatisfied with this toaster. It's clearly solidly built and really pretty to the eye. But it's not a museum piece, it's a toaster, so its main function must be performed sensibly. I would give it 5 stars but for a toaster this expensive you would think the crumb tray would be well constructed and just the right size for collecting crumbs. But no, firstly the plastic overhangs on the tray bars fell apart during assembly and they had to be glued. Worse, much worse, the metal base is 1/4" shorter when it slides in, leaving 1/4" of room at the back, perfect for the continuous stream of crumbs falling onto the counter.
