🦆 Duck Brand Clear Repair Tape 1.88-Inch x 100-Feet - All Weather Indoor/Outdoor Single Roll Review

Meant to be an all weather repair tape. It's like extra wide tape and doesn't stick. I used it internally to fix a small tear in our vinyl mesh and it fell off on the first night. I used it outside to fix a stain on the same vinyl fabric and it popped out the next morning on a dry night. Waste of money if you don't want to use it as packing tape.

I used this tape to seal the windows in a house I just bought but couldn't close some windows. Before the windows were replaced, a shower was announced. I used this tape to seal windows that couldn't be closed. I tested them over the weekend and they are still holding up and sealing the windows after the storm. Water didn't seep into the house, which was a relief for the hardwood floors. This tape worked as expected.

SPEAKS, weather resistant etc. In my house it doesn't even stick to wood or painted walls. We bought two. What a waste of money. I just wanted to add extra protection to cover my windows from the inside with transparent thin plastic. Forget it. I tried using this to hang stockings on my coat for Christmas (using a nylon loop hanger). Forget it. I tried to hang a Christmas garland on the kitchen sink. Forget it. You keep falling. It doesn't even stick to itself. Terrible. Very disappointed.

I bought 6 rolls of this tape. In 32 degree weather the tape didn't stick when stuck on the plastic exterior. It didn't stick to any surface - metal, wood, not even itself. I wouldn't recommend this tape for all outdoor conditions, all weather, or sticking to any surface - very disappointed as I had to repeat the application at least 3 times, all the so called "Tape" used only to buy more of a product that actually worked for the application.

I only use it to seal the window seams in my rented apartment in winter as an alternative to using plastic film on the windows. I can still see the outside and it's easy to apply after cleaning the area with rubbing alcohol and toning in late spring. This is a lot better than using plastic sheeting and a lot less work. I was so happy to protect the windows from the elements and insulate them with plastic. This tape seemed to do the trick, but I needed a thinner roll. Conclusion: Both bands are useful. Clear Gorilla Tape works better and costs more. These clear repair tapes are similar to Mylar packing tapes except they have elastic. I used clear duck tape and clear gorilla tape to attach the light strips to my car. Both held up well on glass and paint. On vinyl, Gorilla tape gave twice the peel strength.
