Better than expected! Works well with minor modifications

Because my original roof vent was damaged during a remodel, I needed another way to vent my dryer. I really wasn't expecting much from this unit having tried such products in the past but my dryer took three cycles to wet dry a medium sized load and the cost and hassle was driving me crazy. So, a few things to make this thing work really well. #1) Buy worm drive clamps for both ends of the hose as the plastic tie that comes with it won't last long. Size) #2) Buy one of those popular (and…

Dryer Channel Short

I bought these because my dryer is next to the bathroom door, it sticks out and half blocks the door when I use a channel that goes into the wall. So I took the aluminum duct that came with this product and ran it down the back of the dryer, planning on connecting it to a plastic bucket and leaving the bucket on top of the dryer. Well the air duct that comes with the kit is too short so I had to go and buy an 8 foot long one for another $12. Those who say it doesn't generate much extra moisture

I like that all the heat from my dryer warms it up.

Change after about a month of use: I love that all the heat from my dryer is now heating my house! Some of the lint ends up in your laundry room. :( Some will be trapped by the water you pour into the bottom of the white cylinder, others will be blown out. My solution was to wrap the unit in a mesh drying bag (see laundry. With each load, just twist the bag that way that the lint in front of the outlet holes is larger, does not line up with the holes and clogs them.If there is too much lint in…

Neat winter essential, especially if you have a wood stove

An interesting invention. While I like it, the only reason it doesn't get a solid 5 stars is because it's difficult to get the top to snap into place without fear of breaking the thing. I got this because the damper on the outside of the house from the dryer vent was broken and there was a wood stove inside which was the main place to draw winter air into the house, it was always 10 degrees colder in the laundry room. Not anymore, it pumps the heat from the dryer back into the house. Summer…

Works well with a small modification.

When our apartment dryer kept failing to dry our clothes, I found that the hefty length of hose going to the roof vent was the culprit. I have been banned from using the internal ventilation system due to particulate health issues. Humidity is a factor when you're airing near walls, in a small room, or in a room that already has a humidity problem (I don't). As for fines, I took the women's nylon and draped it over the vented part, cutting down the middle to allow the air duct to attach, it…
