Durable and Accurate Hydrometer - Highly Recommend!

This industrial and scientific instrument perfectly measures substance density and temperature. Its shatterproof design has already saved us from several accidents. The readings are highly accurate, enabling us to maintain quality control, and the triple scale for specific gravity, Brix, and potential alcohol is very convenient. However, it is slightly pricier compared to other models in the market. Overall, this hydrometer is a reliable, durable, and accurate device for substance analysis.

This hydrometer is almost impossible for me to use. It works, but the labeling is broad enough to give you a "best guess" measurement. The only thing I like about it is that it's made of plastic and seems relatively indestructible compared to traditional glass devices. I broke a couple hydrometers while cleaning the beer equipment. The main reason you use one of these is to measure the beginning and ending sugars as accurately as possible to know the strength of your drink. In the image Iโ€ฆ

Won't break if dropped. Has a range of 1,000 to 1,150 for measuring the specific gravity of a liquid.

I've found others have had trouble with this hydrometer, but it has one major advantage over the more expensive (and more accurate) versions - it won't break if it rolls off the stand. This device is 8.5 inches from the base to the top of the pressure scale, so you will need a graduated cylinder of at least 9 inches. Distilled water gave the correct value of 1.00 when the device was used correctly: place the device in the liquid and lower it to the point where it appears to be floating, thenโ€ฆ
