Use some lube to keep the spacers in place

Recently my boost carbon rear wheel broke. Had a naturally aspirated spare tire (142x12). This conversion kit works as a decent "bandage" until I replace the broken wheel. To keep the spacers in place when installing the wheel, I greased them a bit. This is perfect for holding the spacers in place while I install the wheel.

Good conversion to Compressor with no rework

I used this kit to convert my 12x142 Hope Pro 4 rear hub to 12x148 Compressor. Because the kit uses the same 3mm spacers on both sides of the hub, there is no need to repaint the wheel like a single 6mm spacer like the Wolftooth Boostinator. However, if you remove your rear wheel frequently, I would look for legal plugs for the hub you are working on. I ended up replacing them with a Hope conversion kit that doesn't fall out every time you need to remove a wheel.

Works, but other reviewers are right about the tricky axle setup

If you frequently remove your front wheel (to put your bike in a car, for example) you'll need to add a third hand to help you with this one small spacer between fork legs and hub. But with practice it gets easier. The real danger is driving hours to the start of the trail only to realize you must have dropped the spacers in your driveway. For that reason, it's probably a good idea to always keep a few extra of these spacers in the glove box. So it's not as practical as hub end caps, but…
