💨 Dynomax Ultra Flo 17223 Exhaust Muffler: Supercharge Your Vehicle's Performance Review

When it came time to replace the muffler on one of my old trucks I decided to try this one. don't regret it Easy installation and good sound. It's by no means the best silencer, but it's not an 18-year-old work truck either. lol Worth the money without hesitation.

I've always loved the quality, flow and sound of Dynomax mufflers and systems. This was on a 2019 Silverado LT 5.3L V8 and it has no cockpit rumble but is scratchy when starting and accelerating. Stainless steel construction and low profile (no hanging) are welcome. Mileage and power/throttle response have been increased.

If you're looking for a quiet, on-the-go muffler, this isn't it. Semi-aggressive growl. It's mostly audible when accelerating. IMO YOU GET THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS WITH THIS RESONATOR. It's a semi-aggressive growl under acceleration and quiet at idle and cruise/cruise.

This muffler sounds great and flows really well. Placement also plays a big role in my build, the closer to the engine the more manageable and unmanned you become. The further back you place it, the more rasp and megaphone effect you get. I have it halfway to my rear bumper now and it sounds fantastic. It also throws the exhaust 6-8 feet behind the car because it flows so well. (LS3 with manifolds and cams). I recommend this damper.

Used OCPTY 3" 76mm OD Exhaust Replacement T-304 Long Straight Exhaust 5 foot exhaust from Cat Back. and Vibrant Performance 11730 TC Series High Exhaust Sleeve Clamp for 3" OD hoses. Factory exhaust pipe with TOTALFLOW 3" TF-J60 304 Stainless Steel Overlap, Muffler Muffler Clamp - 3" A 3" long 3" pipe needs to be welded to the factory exhaust pipe that was cut from the factory muffler to connect to the new muffler. Silencer as advertised. It installed on my 2005 Sierra 1500 in about 30 minutes at a local muffler shop for $50. I used to always have a Flowmaster, but I wanted something more subtle.
