Less Bark-Same Bite

Although physically larger than the stock mufflers they replaced, they fit my 1968 GTO with no problem. As for the sound, that's exactly what I was looking for . Less barking, same bite.

Excellent muffler, best muffler

The tested 17749 has a very low back pressure, almost zero. Two 17749 are ideal for 7 or 7.5 liter V8 engines. In addition, the 17749 delivers a pleasant sound, just enough for an engine exhaust but quiet enough to drive at high speed to classical music. Great production and great price. Improving the design is almost impossible.

It has a great sound but NO guarantees

A little louder than I was hoping for but tolerable and has a great sound. Warranty unless purchased from a local dealer. No guarantee when buying online from any provider. They will not answer any questions by phone or email when purchasing online. Be aware of this before buying as mine has rusted after 3 years.

Great silencer! - Exhaust and emissions

I bought this muffler for my 2000 Silverado 1500 4.3, short and wide after getting very tired of being straight for so long. It worked for me in place of the factory muffler and then dumped right behind the rear axle. I wanted it to be quiet and I probably got as close as possible. It's definitely quieter than stock (the guys who own my truck know it has a decent exhaust note from the factory), but the flow is much better and you can still hear it a little. I am very, very happy with it andโ€ฆ

. The pipe was a bit bent but the muffler sounds great. A bit quiet at take off and at speed.

The intake was slightly curved but the muffler sounds great. A little quiet when starting off and at high speed, but a little growl when accelerating.

I really liked the product, unfortunately I made a mistake when I bought it.

I liked the product, unfortunately I made the mistake of buying the wrong size. I ended up getting the right size and I love how they sound. Not as loud as the Flowmaster, but it sounds MEAT on my '64 Mustang.
