Overall great product

Excellent muffle, very easy to install. I found it easiest to stick a flathead screwdriver through the rubber straps to make it easier to pry out the muffler's metal straps or you'll snap for good. I ended up applying 3 cans of Rustoleum high temperature satin black paint to the entire muffler to prevent premature rusting and I didn't like the chrome look. The sound is amazing and not too bad on the Autobahn at 70-75 but noticeable. Volume 12-15 usually covers this. Overall very happy with this

Good product for spares

purchased to replace my entire exhaust which was rusting on my 40,000 mile JK Rubicon. Fit perfectly, good clips included, tape type is not cheap u type. I coated it with high temperature black to prevent rust. It sounds about the same as any exhaust on a 6 cylinder. Terrible in my opinion, but I've never heard a good sounding 6 cylinder so it's not the muffler's fault. Also comes with 2 nicely polished tips and clamps for both which I eventually saved for another car as this exhaust is a rear…

Just do not use chrome nozzles - it is better not to buy them

Just do not use chrome nozzles - it is better not to buy them. They tighten up if you place the tape in the right place, but what I don't like is the buzz they cause. The exhaust noise is nothing like the YouTube video except at idle. I think you'll need to buy an air intake to get even better sound, but it's good value for money. A little rumble but it gets better as you drive a few miles. Some people I spoke to put an expansion tube in, but I just removed the tips and the drone fell off.

Just buy it, it's cheaper than the rest, sounds great and looks great!

I waited a whole year to buy it, didn't want any boom and was afraid of a harder sound. I really should have just pulled the trigger now. Easy installation, perfect fit. I love noises! FYI: I painted it black as a primer and then sprayed it on to get a dark gray. Looks much better and the rusty paint won't last long. The stock muffler was spot welded so I had to disassemble it to get the old one off. Be sure to use the attachments, otherwise the drone will be present and the sound will end…

Sounds good! *Tips and tricks for installation*

Got rid of the tinny exhaust noise. Rich deep grunt. I painted the muffler with heat resistant paint. Some smell of burning (oil in the factory (?)). Few installation problems as the Jeep exhaust has a "tongue". This exhaust has a matching notch cutout that was difficult to align. I ended up bending the exhaust side a little and then using a clamp to lower (bend back) it. The exhaust pipes were also slightly crooked (one lower). I caught this by bending the hanger on the side that raised the…

Test silencer Rustoleum?

In the 4 years that I have owned this unit it has rusted from start to finish and will be replaced soon. It's a piece of junk. My JKU only has 36,000 miles. This is 2014. So when I bought it I applied 4 coats of ceramic high temp paint (like a gas grill) and baked in the oven between coats until the permeable coating had hardened. So even if this thing was garbage, it must have lasted at least a decade. It looked good on the outside, but it was really rusty on the inside. I couldn't believe…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Large and bulky

For less than $200 this is by far the best muffler kit you can buy. Installation took about 10 minutes, removing the stock muffler and pipe took about half an hour. I used my cutting wheel to cut lines towards the tube to make it easier to slide off. Mine was pretty rusty there. I sprayed some silicone grease on it the night before and it helped loosen the nut on the yoke. There are 3 clamps in total. 2 for the tips which look awesome and 1 for the pipe that connects the muffler to the existing

Looks good and sounds great, but not for long!

Received today, couldn't wait to install. It was a fairly simple setup. actually a VERY simple setup. The hardest part was removing the old muffler. I painted the new system black prior to installation and it looks great. The muffler itself worked well. The tip clamps were too big and not tight enough to hold the tips in place. Tomorrow I will buy other clamps and put tips. Everything looks great and both tailpipes are straight and flush with each other. The sound is excellent. Pleasantly…

Read it. - Exhaust and Emissions

Installed two days ago. When we arrived both hangers were sticking out of the box. It was badly packed. The silencer runs freely in the box. However, he was alive and well. The tips are well packed in their boxes. It says Made in USA, but the chrome tips are from China. It was painful to remove the old muffler - 2008 and it was rusty. Once disconnected it was easy to install. However, I have an OEM exhaust pipe and once this muffler is installed, it is NOT in the middle of the jeep. It is…
